Linen Dyeing FAQ

Linen Dyeing FAQ

I've had so many questions in regards to the linen dyeing so I thought it was high time I showed the questions & answers here on The Foxes Den Blog.
.

How long will it take?

Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for the full process. Including the deciding and dyeing process.

How do you match the colours?

We can match your linen duvet to a paint sample or a fabric swatch, it could be your favorite top.. all we need is something to send to the colour lab where our colour genies can work their magic.

Will the colour fade?

Yes - over time anything that has been coloured will eventually fade.

Can I dye my Linen sheets?

Yes...it is possible. But at this stage we have only being dying the duvet covers, simply because of the elastic in the fitted sheets.
We could easily dye the Linen Flat / Top sheet and Pillowcases However I would be a little nervous of the Fitted. The Bulk of the linen would be fine, its just around the elastic edge, it may have darker lines etc where the elastic tape is. I hope this makes sense. If it’s a risk you are willing to take... that part of the sheet will be hidden under the mattress.

If you have a question of your own.. please don't hesitate to ask me in the comments below or via email office@thefoxesden.co.nz

I have a rather large cotton bed cover which is too big for my washing machine. It has faded with the sunlight coming through the French doors. It’s navyblue. Could you dye it back to it’s glory?

Hi there, I’m not sure if I’ve come to the right place but I have a feather filled bed throw that I would like to dye a darker colour. Is that something you could do? Thank you so much, Jeanette
