I finally learned to knit during lockdown and have been knitting dishcloth sets for everyone as cheer up presents.
I have been busy working from home but having fun while doing it. Apart from being incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work from home, I’ve also been helping our company to develop and launch a new line of online educational programs, which has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s wonderful to put some Kiwi Ingenuity and creative energy to work. Plus, this task has also been able to help keep some of our associates in work, across the globe. That being said… I’m absolutely exhausted and would love some new sheets! Take care!
We have been doing a 30 day lego challenge in our bubble with my 3 and 5 year old! We have built some amazing things for fun and to spark their creative minds!
We have had a fun filled time that has gone by soooo fast with our little family (2 boys ages 8&10). Lots of trips to the Botanical Gardens (at the end of our block) for bike riding, running, playing, exploring and just taking our time with nature. It has been a great time for farther/son teaching time, doing our bit to help out elderly neighbors with their grocery/pharmacy needs, being a smile for those walking on the other side of the street and our simple life philosophy is to focus on what we can do and not on what we can’t. It’s been a pretty special (although uncertain/stressful) time but those worries aren’t shared with our little ones.
Hi everyone. We live rural and it’s pretty quiet out here! So I decided to sort out the sewing room and guess what, I found nicely cut up fabrics to make into a floor quilt for a friend’s first baby. The baby is now three years old, so time to finish it before she’s driving a car.
And like many, online learning is an amazing tool to keep that brain active and widen our horizon. I have been learning about photography and natural health mainly, which are one of the key components in my life.
The guesthouse is empty and it feels so different not knowing if we will ever host again.
We love linen and our guests did as well. It makes you sleep like babies.
Wishing you all well in the tail-end of this restricted COVID time. I hope new horizons for the future for all. Greetings from the deep south, The Catlins. Ella B.
